BySheFor - Cold Therapy

In the last few years I have expanded my knowledge of the use and benefit of cold therapy. Specifically for skin health, cold water therapy has been shown to reduce inflammation, stimulate collagen production, and regulate sebum production, leading to improved skin elasticity, reduced pore size, and a healthier complexion. As an esthetician I have now discovered that with it’s ability to reduce swelling for ailments it can also reduce the swelling and redness from acne. If your skin concerns include Acne, Hydration, Anti-aging, and Rosacea. Then a cold pressed facial with cold pressed products would change your life, as it has for me!

Recently at the top of 2024, I had an unfortunate incident with a chemical burn on my eyes and eyebrows. This then caused two different forms of dermatitis to appear on areas of my face and body. This occurred through the use of (PPD) , PPD, or para-phenylenediamine, is a chemical found in many permanent hair dyes. It's used in concentrations of about 4% and reacts with hydrogen peroxide to permanently bind color to hair. PPD is also known to be a skin sensitizer and can lead to allergic reactions. PPD containing hair dyes have been associated with cancer and mutagenicity.  This chemical was used in a brow tinting solution applied on me by a licensed esthetician, who I hope was unaware of the dangerous chemical that was in her product. I speak more about my incident it on my youtube channel, but to shorten the story I healed myself by using no topical medications and the use of Cryo Sticks. Sun up to sun down I made sure to keep them at my side to use when ever i felt pain, itchiness, or swelling and this has allowed me to heal much faster than originally projected.
